Genta products are only allowed to be sold under one condition: cultivators' demands must always be taken into account. For a qualified, profitable, efficient, and sustainable cultivation, we sell our seeds, which are a necessary component of agricultural production. We develop our field crop and vegetable seeds taking into account the local conditions and the wishes and needs of the growers. That's why Genta brand seeds are highly adaptable, efficient, healthy and profitable.
We provide the plant nutrition products necessary for farming that generates advantages, boosts productivity, and boosts market value. Conditions for growers are important to us. We create customized recipes for field crops, vegetables, fruits and wine crops. We create value through our innovative and effective plant nutrition products, which we offer for sale and which are the key to healthy and profitable crops.
We are aware that not only professionals are interested in agriculture production. We have also prepared hobby gardening products for amateur growers who want to create their own garden and experience agricultural production in urban conditions. Following the deregulation of seed import and distribution in our nation under the control of the Ministry of Agriculture, the founding partners of Genta entered the agricultural industry with the seed business.

The vegetable seed company ""Anadolu Tohum,"" established by the founding partners, collaborated with the French company ""Vilmorin,"" the oldest company in this industry, worldwide. This cooperation represented the first example of an international company taking a minority stake in a Turkish company operating in the seed sector in Turkey.

The founding objectives of Anadolu Seed were to establish an organization that conducts research, production, import and export, creates brands and distributes seeds in the field of vegetable seed production, of which there are many examples in developed countries.
In this context
a. First of all, a distribution infrastructure and sales network was established in all regions of our country where vegetables are grown,
b. Subsequently, in 1987, a new company was established for the sole production of vegetable seeds,
c. And in 1988, the first vegetable seed breeding and research activities were initiated in İçel.

GENTA, a company with 100% Turkish capital, was established to support the seed breeding activities and to produce, market, import and export products that can meet the different needs of our growers. Genta started its activities by importing and distributing drip irrigation pipes and equipment that can be installed under the ground, which was a first in Turkey.

1990
As a pioneer, Genta registered the series of Plant Growth Regulators (PGR) in our country. The aim was to provide a solution with a defined content, proven to be safe since 1949, in this turbulent market, and then to put it on the market, first by importing it, and then by carrying out its national production in 1991. Subsequently, thanks to the contributions of the product development department, a series of new PGR products were launched in the domestic and foreign markets. Today, Genta has become one of the leading manufacturers of PRG for agricultural use in Turkey.

Genta started to work on Plant Nutrition in cooperation with Spanish companies. At this stage, Genta first launched Humic acids under the BIOSOIL brand, which have been widely used especially in greenhouse agriculture, and then developed a series of unique products containing Fulvic acids, which are natural chelating agents.

After the 1994 economic crisis, the number of Turkish shareholders in both companies decreased and partnership structures changed. GENTA redefined its strategic business activities and decided to focus on PGRs, Plant Nutrition and Seeds.

The distribution of all kinds of agricultural inputs intended for amateur or leisure gardening began with the large food and DIY stores that have become structured in our country. Today, we have gained an important place in this market with a wide range of products.

The company's headquarters and production, packaging and storage units were brought together in Pendik, Istanbul, and the number of products and production capacity were increased.

Activities were initiated in the field of field crops, both in meadow and pasture crops (mainly grass varieties) and maize seed.

R&D investments in vegetable breeding were initiated in Antalya and the first station was established.

The Turkish partner, Anadolu tohum, sold its shares to the French. Genta increased its investments in seed and plant nutrition.

Organic products started to be emphasized in the Plant Nutrition product range.

Genta Vegetable Seed breeding station started operations in Antalya.

Maize and sunflower breeding studies were initiated.

Genta was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture as a vegetable seed research organization.

As defined in its strategic roadmap, Genta began exporting seed and plant nutrition products to neighboring countries.

The second generation, children of the partners and directors started to work in the company.

""AVRASYA Seed Breeding"" company, which was established in partnership with Akdeniz Tohum company, started its activities in Bursa Karacabey to carry out breeding studies in corn and sunflower among field crops.

Sales in the Aegean and Western Mediterranean, which were handled by Vilmorin Anadolu, were taken over by the new GENTA sales team.

Our plant nutrient production activities have moved to our new factory in İzmir - Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone. Organo-Minerals were added to our Organic and Mineral Plant Nutrients product range.

The employees of our Head Office moved to Kemalpaşa, Izmir, with the exception of the Turf Business unit and overseas procurement.
